In every project I did, I tend to write for generic audiences.  When I do write, I like to be easily read by anyone who chooses to read it.  Authority in the classroom, as part of project four, forced me to write more for a audience that wants to be a successful teacher.  I was ok with doing this because it was a pleasant change from my norm.

Project one was supposed to be about what in my past lead me to want to be a teacher.  Currently in my life I have no interest in becoming a teacher.  Instead I wrote about some things that I thought had a major impact in my life.  I wrote about specific instances that make me the person I am today.

Project two wasn’t teacher specific and more pointed at me and how I’ve progressed as a student.  I can easily see my short comings as a student and I can also know the things that I excel at.  This made writing this project a little easier than the first project.

My compilation of projects One and Two took a little longer then I had foreseen.  After reading over both of them for the fifth or sixth time, I decided what was irrelevant and deleted it.  I also wanted to revise a couple of the paragraphs so that the two projects would flow better.  Some of my writing for my projects were perfect and I left them as is.  Although I did end up moving some of the paragraphs around to go more with my personal life time line.  I believe my remix flows with what I’m attempting to convey of my past and what made me the person I am today.  Out of all the writtings I did, I’d have to say that I like this one the most.  I was able to get it to flow to my liking.  This project also allowed me to revise my original two projects that I thought I did the best on.

Project three was about an ad that was put out by the Ad Council, my take on the ad, and then my own visual aide that went along with what the Ad Council put out.  I chose a billboard ad that was simple and to the point and then mimicked one of my own for my visual aide.

Project four was a group project that had two parts to it.  First part was to read a section of “Pedagogy of the oppressed” and then see how it correlates with power.  The second part was about authority in the classroom and how a teacher can gain and maintain authority in their classroom.

While going over my third and forth projects, I had a difficult time finding a way of interlacing them.  I was able to find a post that I did towards the beginning of the semester that correlated with my projects that fit nicely in with what I was attempting to convey.  I ended up cutting out a lot of things from both projects three and four.  I wasnt able to find a way to bring a lot of the text from project three into the remix.   Project three was more directed at the ad’s whereas project four had a broader aspect to go on.

I think its safe to say that I learned quite a bit during this class, English 140.  I know that writing isnt one of my strong points, but I have been able to build onto a decent platform that I already had coming into this class.  I also got to see a aspect that I really never put any thought into.  The aspect of a teacher and what goes into becoming a successful one.  The amount of challenges that teachers go through can be overwelming and I dont envy any of them.
