Mr. Halle’s comments
Hi Luke:
Your statement of student philosophy tells the story of your engagement with school going back to your earliest memories. The text focuses on procrastination, telling the spelling-test story that taught you not to wait until the last minute.
The third paragraph discusses how you engage with doing large projects like writing papers, preferring to do things all at once rather than in pieces or segments (it’ll get tough should you get a 20-pager).
The final paragraph is really about your learning style and how being in a traditional classroom does not always work for you because it does not take advantage of the way you learn best. Traditional classes, also, may not engage your natural curiosity, which can be a big factor in being a student.
Best,
Steve Halle
